Testimonials About Barbara

I so LOVE what you did with the house. Three people who have been coming to my house for a while now, this was their first time noticing the small table in the “open pantry” as I call it. We are enjoying more eating at the dining room. Last night we put all the rugs in and you should see the difference that it made. So warm, I wish you could see it. Thank you so much for coming over and making the changes, it really opened up our house as well as inviting us back in to love our house. Again, thank you for your time and your advice.

Giangi T.

Barbara Kaplan is not only a visionary in her approach to interior design but an inspiration to those to who know her personally. I am fortunate and grateful to be the recipient of Barbara’s generosity, kindness, and wisdom. Her love of her career, family, and friends resonate in all she does and her passion for life is very contagious. Barbara is a true inspiration!

I took The Bajaro Method Interior Design Preference Profile online and for the first time, it made me think about my home and my preferences. This process made me understand that my space is my sanctuary. The questions helped me learn more about my likes, dislikes, and what makes me feel comfortable. It made me consider choices outside my normal “box” of ideas. Based on the results, I plan to add more color and some items that are soothing that reflect my personality.

Michell B., Scottsdale, AZ

What a fun date with Barbara! Barb wanted us to go to Pier 1 and a few other stores to spice up my home and who would think that it would be exciting and fun?! As Barb motored through the store she selected items for my home knowing where it could be placed and if it would work! She knew my home better than I did from only seeing it one time! Wow!! Even more remarkable is when these items were delivered, they all looked outstanding in my home, making my house even more enjoyable to me! Barb has a great eye and a picture perfect memory. What an amazing woman! Anyone decorating should have the “BARBARA EXPERIENCE!”

Marilynn A.

As I read “The Bajaro Method”, I thought that the author’s understanding of the emotional impact of our environments was helpful.  At first I did not understand what Barbara Kaplan meant when she said that “Rooms don’t have feelings, you do.” Then, as I continued through the chapters, I had an “A-ha” moment. I came to a deeper understanding of how the design choices I make affect the emotions of the occupants. As a young designer, it is up to me to ask the right questions and make a healing, comforting and personal environment. I also have been inspired to look around my own home and think about what changes I want to make for myself and my family. I am pleased with the insight that I gained from reading this book.

Amy S., ASID Allied

Barbara Kaplan gets to the heart of the matter. In her Bajaro Method certification classes, Barbara shares extensively from her years of experience with vendors, clients, and the design industry. More importantly, she offers a unique opportunity to understand how important the human element is in transforming a room into an inviting living space, a house into a home, a space into a sanctuary. I was reminded to actively listen to my clients and remember that design should always be a collaborative process, after all, it is their home!

Deborah M.K., Prescott, AZ

Barbara designed our house several years ago, and really understood our needs and personality. She has a fantastic sense of color, and was a pleasure to work with. We continue to enjoy her work, as it is part of our daily atmosphere.

Orna A., Scottsdale, AZ

Through the years, our relationship had shown me that there is a huge difference between a decorator and a “Design Counselor.” With your expertise, I’ve learned that change is not only healthy but can be very exciting.  Your guidance in re-creating our master bedroom suite was invaluable and the room has become “our dream come true.” The transformation is incredible, exquisite, and extremely functional.  Even more exciting, the entire process was an enjoyable one with you by my side.  Thanks for just being you. You’re amazing!!!

Lynn R.

It means so much to me that you assessed each room with me. Since your visit, the way I view both my home and my life has changed. I’m striving for comfortable function and peace here now, rather than putting things in places because I saw it in a magazine. I’ve changed a number of areas of my home, with your voice in my head. And there are more changes to come!

Tami B., Fountain Hills, AZ

I have had this book for a while, but I finally picked it up as I was trying to make some choices for a new house I’m moving into. I have been conflicted with my own personal style for a long time now. The questions stimulated me to really dig into what I wanted! It is more than a design book; it’s a book to help you find yourself and create a living space that is suited just for YOU!!!! GET THIS BOOK!
