E & J Appliances is a family-owned and operated appliance repair company headed by Alan Johnson. The company was started in 1982 by Ernie Johnson. Appliance repair has changed over the years with all of the new products that have come out such as front-load washing machines and French-door refrigerators. E & J keep their technicians up to date with regular training at least three times a year to ensure they know how to fix your appliance and fix it correctly.
Alan likes to say that they are focused on disproving the idea that “customer service is lost.”
He says when training his employees, he emphasizes that 15% of the service call is the technical part which they are so competent in doing and 85% is listening to the customer, being nice, and having a pleasant personality.
