Testimonials About Barbara

I took The Bajaro Method Interior Design Preference Profile online and for the first time, it made me think about my home and my preferences. This process made me understand that my space is my sanctuary. The questions helped me learn more about my likes, dislikes, and what makes me feel comfortable. It made me consider choices outside my normal “box” of ideas. Based on the results, I plan to add more color and some items that are soothing that reflect my personality.

Michell B., Scottsdale, AZ

Barbara Kaplan is not only a visionary in her approach to interior design but an inspiration to those to who know her personally. I am fortunate and grateful to be the recipient of Barbara’s generosity, kindness, and wisdom. Her love of her career, family, and friends resonate in all she does and her passion for life is very contagious. Barbara is a true inspiration!

Claudia W.

Barbara Kaplan gets to the heart of the matter. In her Bajaro Method certification classes, Barbara shares extensively from her years of experience with vendors, clients, and the design industry. More importantly, she offers a unique opportunity to understand how important the human element is in transforming a room into an inviting living space, a house into a home, a space into a sanctuary. I was reminded to actively listen to my clients and remember that design should always be a collaborative process, after all, it is their home!

Deborah M.K., Prescott, AZ

My skill set doesn’t include any of those required to envision a beautiful and gracious home.  I want to open the door, walk in and have it be me and done.  How to get there, well, there was the rub!  I didn’t even know my colors, never even thought about them.   This is not to say that I was lazy and disinterested in everything.  I have my reason to be and I feel very comfortable in my role on the planet.  I just didn’t know at that time that I had any crossover skills.  Barbara was able to get me to focus, gently and lovingly, and to become interested in selecting fabrics and tasks of that sort.  Ultimately, all of the choices were mine and my husband’s.  I understand why I made each and everyone and I love it all.  Barbara’s gentle guidance opened me up to this new world that I tip toed in until I became comfortable.  Barbara was the “wind beneath my wings.”

Susan Y., Phoenix, AZ

Through the years, our relationship had shown me that there is a huge difference between a decorator and a “Design Counselor.” With your expertise, I’ve learned that change is not only healthy but can be very exciting.  Your guidance in re-creating our master bedroom suite was invaluable and the room has become “our dream come true.” The transformation is incredible, exquisite, and extremely functional.  Even more exciting, the entire process was an enjoyable one with you by my side.  Thanks for just being you. You’re amazing!!!

Barbara was a godsend for my family.  She helped me totally remodel my home and it is so much nicer than I could have hoped for. Barbara made it easy to select furniture.  I went to the furniture store four times and found nothing.  Then, I went with Barbara and found all my new furniture at one time, and it’s amazing!  I wanted purple; she found me purple sofas and beautiful area rugs. She also planned out a redesign for my whole house that is open, functional and beautiful.  I love my whole space, from the bathroom through the kitchen. The tile, flooring, color of the walls and kitchen layout; all make me feel comfortable and peaceful, in my home.  It’s upbeat and fits my personality.  It really beats the old stuff that I couldn’t stand to look at, anymore. If you want a fantastic space and a real “at home” feeling, employ Barbara and enjoy the whole process!

Michell B., Scottsdale, AZ

I so LOVE what you did with the house. Three people who have been coming to my house for a while now, this was their first time noticing the small table in the “open pantry” as I call it. We are enjoying more eating at the dining room. Last night we put all the rugs in and you should see the difference that it made. So warm, I wish you could see it. Thank you so much for coming over and making the changes, it really opened up our house as well as inviting us back in to love our house. Again, thank you for your time and your advice.

Giangi T.

Barbara Kaplan is a gifted and caring interior designer – for my home, and for me, personally. She helps nurture and empower a sense of purpose, which in turn, becomes reflected in the personal style and living spaces. She ALWAYS brings a fresh and unique perspective. Barbara’s Picks gives me a “go to” directory of her years of trusted relationships. It’s a joyous and optimistic experience working with Barbara, and if she trusts and recommends a business, I totally trust it as well!

Lisa G.,Urbandale, IA

I believe that one of the biggest truths in life is that change is constant. When Barbara works with you, she is an amazing source to guide you to make those changes positive, whether you are changing your home, your personal life or your business.

Ruth U., Scottsdale, AZ

I took the questionnaire from the Bajaro Method online and it really made me think about my home and what my preferences are.  I realized that my space is my sanctuary.  I found the quizzes very helpful to really discover more about my likes, dislikes and what makes me feel comfortable.  It made me consider choices outside my normal “box” of ideas.  As a result of the questionnaires, I would like to add more color and include more items that are soothing to me and reflect my personality.
